The new owners of the Katikati Golf Course and the associated residential subdivision are planning on breathing new life into the development. 

On behalf of Pacific Developments Ltd, MTEC has made application to WBOPDC for resource consent to provide for the establishment of a village environment, within the residential development, to provide greater support for an upgraded clubhouse and country club facility, including tennis courts and bowling green. 

Maintenance work on the golf course has been undertaken after lapsing for a few years and with committed owners a new beginning is underway for a development  that has huge potential but has had a difficult history.
